Begin your adventure at Deception Valley Private Reserve on the edge of the Central Kalahari. Enjoy guided game drives and a nature walk with a San tracker, learning about desert survival skills and cultural heritage. Encounter oryx, springbok, eland, and predators such as lion and brown hyena. Camp in a remote, self-sufficient setting beneath vast Kalahari skies. Continue to the Makgadikgadi region, arriving along the seasonal Boteti River. Afternoon game drives follow the riverbanks where wildlife gathers to drink, particularly during dry months. Elephants, antelope, and birdlife are common sightings. Camp near the park’s edge overlooking the Boteti River at Khumaga village, enjoying peaceful views and the expansive character of this ancient landscape. Meals on the Buffalo safari are freshly prepared in camp, offering wholesome breakfasts, relaxed bush lunches, and hearty dinners under the stars. Guests enjoy flavourful, well-balanced dishes that reflect the warmth and simplicity of authentic safari living.
Game drives on the Buffalo Safari are conducted in custom-built 4x4 safari vehicles, designed for comfort and optimal wildlife viewing. Open-sided for clear sightlines, each vehicle allows guests to fully immerse themselves in Botswana’s landscapes and unforgettable sightings.
Tents are 2.1m x 2.1m x 1.75m. A 5cm high density foam mattress is provided for each guest. Ablutions are shared and set up by our team when staying in game reserves and national park campsites.

- Camping equipment and accommodation: spacious bow tents with mattresses, as well as comfortable lodge rooms in Khumaga
- All activities and transfers between safari destinations as outlined in the itinerary
- Meals as specified: Breakfast - B, Lunch - L, Dinner - D
- Filtered drinking water, along with tea and coffee Services of a Professional Guide and Camp Assistant
- All park fees in Botswana for activities included in the itinerary and transport in specialised safari vehicles
- Okavango Air Rescue for evacuation from the bush to the nearest medical facility
EXCLUDES
- Visas, airport transfers, gratuities, and souvenirs Optional activities (e.g., scenic flight over the Delta and experiences in Victoria Falls)
- Beverages (including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks)
- Insurance for cancellation, curtailment, medical needs, baggage, and emergency evacuation
