Begin your adventure at Deception Valley Private Reserve on the edge of the Central Kalahari. Enjoy guided game drives and a nature walk with a San tracker, learning about desert survival skills and cultural heritage. Encounter oryx, springbok, eland, and predators such as lion and brown hyena. Camp in a remote, self-sufficient setting beneath vast Kalahari skies. Explore the vast northern region of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, one of Africa’s largest protected areas. Over several days, venture across open plains and fossil river valleys in search of black-maned lions, cheetah, and desert-adapted wildlife. Transfer to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, where your safari journey concludes. Spend time exploring the spectacular waterfall known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, “The Smoke That Thunders.” Enjoy dramatic viewpoints, vibrant local markets, and optional adventure activities. Accommodation is at a comfortable lodge, allowing you to experience this iconic natural wonder at a relaxed pace. Distance: Chobe River to Victoria Falls: 100km | Travel Time: 3 hours (excluding border crossing)

Purpose-built safari vehicles offer clear sightlines for optimal wildlife viewing and are equipped with a water filtration system for clean drinking water, onboard fridges for refreshments, and charging ports for essential devices.
Tents are 2.1m x 2.1m x 1.75m. A 5cm high density foam mattress is provided for each guest. Ablutions are shared and set up by our team when staying in game reserves and national park campsites.

Our Helicopter Safaris, whether doorless or closed is operated in partnership with Helicopter Horizons, offer a breathtaking aerial perspective of the Okavango Delta and surrounding wilderness. From above, guests witness the vast floodplains, winding channels, and wildlife moving across the landscape, revealing the true scale and beauty of this remarkable ecosystem in a way only possible from the air.
San Trail & Nature Walk
Experience a cultural encounter at Deception Valley Private Reserve with the San Bushmen, descendants of Southern Africa’s earliest inhabitants. Join a guided walk to learn about their tracking skills, medicinal plant knowledge, and deep connection to the Kalahari, gaining insight into one of the world’s oldest living cultures.

- Camping equipment and accommodation: spacious bow tents with mattresses, as well as comfortable lodge rooms in Khumaga and Victoria Falls
- All activities and transfers between safari destinations as outlined in the itinerary (except the transfer between VFA and the Zimbabwe-based lodge, or vice versa)
- Meals as specified: Breakfast - B, Lunch - L, Dinner - D
- Filtered drinking water, along with tea and coffee
- Services of a Professional Guide and Camp Assistant
- All park fees in Botswana for activities included in the itinerary and transport in specialised safari vehicles
- Okavango Air Rescue for evacuation from the bush to the nearest medical facility
